Job Description
We are seeking a warm, reliable, and proactive Weekend Mother’s Aide to support a busy, loving family in Boulder, Colorado. This part-time role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with children and can provide valuable assistance with light household tasks, allowing the parents more quality time with their children. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, possess a positive attitude, and be able to integrate seamlessly into a family environment. This position involves working primarily on weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and engaging childcare for children during designated weekend hours.
- Assist with light household duties, including tidying common areas, children's rooms, and play spaces.
- Prepare simple snacks and meals for children.
- Help with children's laundry and organizing toys/books.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play.
- Run occasional errands related to household needs or children's activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's activities and any household needs.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable childcare experience (babysitting, nanny, aide, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple children in a family setting
- Background in early childhood education or related field
- References from previous families or employers
- Ability to commit to a long-term role
