Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Pharmacy Fulfillment Tech with a special focus on sorting and shipping operations. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that medications are accurately sorted, prepared for shipment, and dispatched to our members in a timely and efficient manner. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly impact patient care and satisfaction. This is an on-site position located in our state-of-the-art fulfillment center in Indianapolis, where you’ll contribute to a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and sort incoming medication inventory according to established protocols.
- Accurately pick and pack prescriptions, ensuring correct medication, dosage, and patient information.
- Operate automated sorting and packaging machinery, monitoring for errors or malfunctions.
- Prepare packages for shipping, including labeling, sealing, and organizing for carrier pickup.
- Perform quality checks on all outgoing packages to prevent shipping errors and ensure compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and tracking supply levels.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet daily production goals.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a pharmacy, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or enrollment in a pharmacy technician program.
- Experience with automated fulfillment systems.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medical supply chain processes.
