Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote macOS Systems Administrator to join our Enterprise IT Support team. This critical role involves providing advanced administration, maintenance, and support for a large-scale macOS environment within our global enterprise infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of all macOS devices and related services, delivering exceptional remote support to our diverse user base.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain a large fleet of macOS devices using enterprise-grade Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, primarily Jamf Pro.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex macOS hardware and software issues.
- Develop and deploy custom scripts (Shell, Python, AppleScript) for automation, system configuration, and problem remediation.
- Manage and maintain macOS patching, software deployments, and security configurations.
- Integrate macOS systems with enterprise services such as Active Directory, LDAP, and various cloud platforms.
- Provide expert-level remote technical support and guidance to end-users on macOS-related issues.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support across different platforms and services.
- Stay current with the latest macOS technologies, security best practices, and industry trends.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in macOS systems administration in an enterprise environment.
- Expertise with Jamf Pro for macOS device management, deployment, and security.
- Strong proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, AppleScript) for automation and system management.
- In-depth understanding of macOS networking, security, and directory services (Active Directory, LDAP).
- Experience with enterprise-level troubleshooting and problem resolution for macOS hardware and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear technical guidance remotely.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Jamf Certified Administrator or Expert certification.
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT).
- Experience with other MDM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with macOS environments.
- Experience managing macOS in a virtualized environment.
