Job Description

Are you passionate about helping students succeed? Chegg is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Remote Student Support Specialist to join our team. This is a unique work-from-home opportunity to make a direct impact on students’ academic journeys by providing timely and effective assistance. You will be the first point of contact for students facing various challenges related to our platform, services, and content, ensuring a positive and seamless learning experience. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States, supporting students across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to student inquiries via chat, email, and phone.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Chegg platform and digital products.
  • Provide guidance and information regarding Chegg's services, subscriptions, and billing.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and resolutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and knowledge base articles.
  • Ensure student satisfaction by delivering exceptional customer service.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with common office software and web-based applications.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Empathy and a genuine desire to help students.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or support role, especially remote.
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms or education technology.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk).
