Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Think Tank Support professional to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will provide comprehensive administrative and operational assistance to our research initiatives and policy development efforts. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced academic and research environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our think tank operations, contributing to meaningful research and impactful outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and arranging travel.
- Assist with research tasks, data compilation, literature reviews, and report preparation.
- Coordinate events, workshops, and seminars, handling logistics from planning to execution.
- Manage communications, drafting correspondence, presentations, and internal/external communications.
- Maintain organized records, databases, and digital archives for research projects.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documentation in adherence to university policies.
- Support the preparation and submission of grant proposals and research outputs.
- Act as a liaison between researchers, faculty, external partners, and administrative departments.
- Help develop and maintain project timelines and monitor progress against key milestones.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to conduct basic research and data gathering.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Policy, Social Sciences, Business Administration).
- Prior experience in an academic, research, or think tank setting.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Experience with event planning and coordination.
- Knowledge of university administrative systems and procedures.
