Job Description
Are you a budding graphic designer eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced agency environment? Bonfire Communications is seeking a motivated and creative Graphic Design Intern to join our team in Saint John. This mentorship-focused role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside seasoned design professionals, contribute to real client projects, and develop your skills across a variety of mediums. You’ll gain practical experience in branding, digital design, print collateral, and more, all while receiving valuable feedback and guidance to kickstart your career in graphic design.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers in developing creative concepts and designs for various client projects, including branding, marketing campaigns, and digital assets.
- Produce high-quality visual content for web, social media, print, and other platforms under supervision.
- Prepare design files for production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas to creative briefs.
- Conduct research on design trends, competitor analysis, and visual best practices.
- Support the design team with administrative tasks, file organization, and project coordination.
- Receive and apply feedback effectively to iterate on designs and improve visual outcomes.
- Learn and adapt to agency workflows, tools, and project management systems.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
- A developing portfolio showcasing creative potential and design acumen.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a graphic design, visual arts, or related program.
Preferred Qualifications
