Job Description
Are you a motivated 17-year-old looking for an exciting opportunity to gain valuable work experience? Lowe’s is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Teens Delivery Helpers to support our furniture and white goods delivery teams in the New Orleans Warehouse District. This entry-level role is perfect for someone eager to learn the ropes of logistics, customer service, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work alongside experienced delivery drivers and movers, assisting with the safe and efficient transport and placement of products into customer homes. This is a fantastic chance to build essential skills and contribute to a top-tier retail operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers and lead movers with the loading and unloading of furniture and white goods from delivery trucks.
- Carefully transport items into customers' homes, navigating various entryways and spaces while protecting property.
- Help with the assembly or placement of certain items as instructed by the lead mover.
- Ensure all products are handled with care to prevent damage during transit and delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, maintaining a polite and professional demeanor.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines for product handling and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the delivery vehicle.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the delivery operation.
Required Skills
- Must be 17 years old.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 75 lbs) with assistance, repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
