Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Audio Mixing Specialist to join our innovative remote team. This role demands an exceptional ear and technical proficiency to craft pristine audio experiences across a diverse range of projects, including film, gaming, music, and broadcast. You will be responsible for balancing dynamics, ensuring sonic clarity, and achieving the highest standards of audio fidelity. This is a crucial role for someone passionate about sound, capable of working independently, and committed to delivering high-precision results from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Mix multi-track audio projects to professional industry standards, ensuring sonic excellence and creative alignment.
- Perform detailed sound editing, sweetening, and mastering to enhance overall audio quality.
- Collaborate effectively with directors, producers, sound designers, and other creative team members to achieve desired sonic aesthetics.
- Utilize advanced digital audio workstations (DAWs) and various audio plugins/hardware to achieve precise mixes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical audio issues, ensuring seamless project delivery.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and delivering high-quality results.
- Stay current with emerging audio technologies, techniques, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in audio mixing and post-production.
- Expert proficiency with industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Nuendo).
- Deep understanding of audio principles including EQ, compression, reverb, delay, and stereo/surround imaging.
- Exceptional ear for detail, critical listening skills, and a strong sense of musicality.
- Experience with various audio file formats, codecs, and delivery specifications.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high productivity in a remote environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Sound Design, or a related field.
- Experience with immersive audio formats, such as Dolby Atmos mixing.
- Familiarity with broadcast audio standards (e.g., ITU-R BS.1770) or game audio implementation.
- A strong portfolio showcasing professional mixing work across different media.
- Knowledge of acoustic treatment principles for home studio environments.
