Job Description
We are actively seeking experienced CDL-A Tanker Drivers with Hazmat endorsement to join our growing team in Irvine, CA. This is a critical role responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of various bulk liquid products, primarily hazardous materials, across designated routes. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (tanker truck) in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Transport hazardous and non-hazardous bulk liquid products to various customer locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
- Ensure all loads are secured properly and product integrity is maintained during transit.
- Complete and maintain accurate logbooks, delivery tickets, and all required paperwork.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including hazmat handling procedures, loading/unloading guidelines, and emergency response plans.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks on equipment as needed and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the vehicle and personal presentation.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Hazmat (H) endorsement
- Tanker (N) endorsement
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safety and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience transporting specific hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, fuels)
- TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- High school diploma or GED
