Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Commercial Egg Washer to join our farm team in Carson City, Nevada. This crucial role involves operating and maintaining automated egg washing and grading equipment, ensuring that all eggs meet our strict quality and cleanliness standards before packaging. The successful candidate must be comfortable with early morning shifts, working in a farm environment, and performing repetitive tasks requiring attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated egg washing and grading machinery.
  • Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Load eggs onto conveyor systems efficiently and safely.
  • Inspect eggs for cracks, dirt, and other imperfections before and after washing.
  • Sort and pack eggs according to size and quality specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all sanitation protocols.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to management.
  • Follow all food safety and occupational health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with other general farm duties as needed.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic understanding of machinery operation or willingness to learn.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the farm location.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a farm, agricultural, or food production environment.
  • Experience operating automated machinery.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, USDA guidelines).
