Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our thriving private practice in Boulder, Colorado. This is an exceptional opportunity for an FNP who is passionate about delivering holistic primary care within an autonomous yet supportive setting. The successful candidate will manage a diverse patient panel, providing acute, chronic, and preventive healthcare services to individuals and families across the lifespan. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations and health histories, for patients of all ages.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and health conditions.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as labs, X-rays, and EKGs.
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies according to established protocols and state regulations.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, lifestyle modifications, and disease management.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records (EMR) in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Current, unrestricted FNP license in the state of Colorado.
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • ANCC or AANP board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing FNP in a primary care or family medicine setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with population health management and chronic disease registries.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).
  • Experience in a private practice or community health setting.
  • ACLS certification.
