Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Fruit Pickers to join our agricultural team near Bath. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to the fresh food supply chain. A sign-on bonus will be provided to all new hires! You will play a crucial role in harvesting a variety of seasonal fruits, ensuring they meet our strict quality standards before they reach our customers’ tables. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary. We offer a supportive work environment and opportunities for development.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pick ripe fruit by hand, ensuring minimal damage and adherence to quality standards.
- Work efficiently to meet daily picking targets.
- Sort and pack harvested fruit into designated containers.
- Operate basic farm equipment or machinery under supervision, if required.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth harvesting operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agricultural work or fruit picking is a plus, but not essential.
- A valid UK driving license and access to transport to reach the farm location.
- Basic understanding of fruit ripening cycles.
