Job Description
Join AccentCare’s compassionate team as a Full-Time Caregiver in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where you’ll provide essential in-home support to clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. This vital role offers the stability of 40 guaranteed hours per week, ensuring consistent work and reliable income. Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and companionship to clients in their homes.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Support clients with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and running errands.
- Monitor and report changes in client's health or behavior to supervisory staff.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment for clients.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities and conversations.
- Adhere to client care plans and document services provided accurately.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics.
- Administer medication reminders as needed.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist clients with mobility.
- Proven reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a caregiver or certified nursing assistant (CNA).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience working with individuals with dementia or other chronic conditions.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Hmong).
