Job Description

Are you passionate about smart home technology and possess a knack for problem-solving? Currys PC World is seeking a dedicated Google Home Support Pro to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for Google Home users worldwide, providing expert technical assistance and troubleshooting for a wide range of Google Home devices and services. You’ll help customers set up devices, resolve connectivity issues, explain features, and ensure a seamless smart home experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for Google Home devices and associated services via phone, email, and chat.
  • Guide users through device setup, configuration, and troubleshooting steps for common issues (e.g., Wi-Fi connectivity, app integration, voice commands).
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems, escalating when necessary to senior support or engineering teams.
  • Educate customers on Google Home features, benefits, and best practices to enhance their user experience.
  • Document customer interactions, issues, and resolutions accurately in our CRM system.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Home product updates, software changes, and support protocols.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through empathetic, clear, and efficient communication.
  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and improve overall support processes.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with Google Home devices and ecosystem (Google Assistant, Chromecast, Nest products).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Patience and a customer-centric attitude.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Basic understanding of home networking principles (Wi-Fi, routers, modems).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a technical support or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk).
  • Experience troubleshooting IoT or smart home devices.
