Job Description
Schneider National is seeking motivated and safety-conscious Class A CDL drivers for immediate hire. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Transport goods to and from specified destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and submit all required documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including hours of service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules and maximize productivity.
- Ensure proper securement of cargo to prevent shifting and damage during transit.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Familiarity with various types of freight and securement techniques.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
