Job Description

Schneider National is seeking motivated and safety-conscious Class A CDL drivers for immediate hire. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Transport goods to and from specified destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs and submit all required documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including hours of service (HOS) regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
  • Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure proper securement of cargo to prevent shifting and damage during transit.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
  • Familiarity with various types of freight and securement techniques.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
