Job Description

Hilton Hotels & Resorts in Coventry is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure all food storage areas are clean, tidy, and organized.
  • Support with stock rotation and receiving deliveries.
  • Operate kitchen machinery safely and efficiently after appropriate training.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Required Skills

  • Enthusiasm for food and cooking.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness (training will be provided).
  • Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment (even non-kitchen roles).
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 1 or 2).
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures in a kitchen.
