Job Description

In this entry-level role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the discoverability and user experience of our vast content library by accurately tagging and categorizing digital media assets. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately apply metadata tags (genre, mood, themes, cast, crew, etc.) to a wide range of film and television content according to established guidelines and taxonomies.
- Perform quality control checks on existing metadata to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
- Collaborate with content operations, product, and engineering teams to improve tagging workflows and tools.
- Stay updated on content trends and tagging best practices to inform and refine metadata strategies.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of Netflix's content taxonomy and style guides.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Google Suite, Microsoft Office).
- Genuine passion for film, television, and digital media content.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Library Science, Media Arts, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Familiarity with content management systems or database entry.
- Experience with metadata tagging or content categorization (even in a non-professional context).
- Basic understanding of media asset management (MAM) principles.
