Job Description

VMLY&R is seeking a highly motivated Junior Google Graphic Designer to join our innovative remote team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers in developing creative concepts and visual assets for various digital platforms, ensuring alignment with Google's design principles and brand guidelines.
- Produce high-quality graphic designs for web, mobile, social media, and other digital marketing collateral.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas to design projects.
- Refine and iterate on designs based on feedback from team members and creative directors.
- Maintain organized design files and adhere to established workflow processes.
- Research current design trends, Google's material design updates, and best practices to inform creative solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a 100% remote environment.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong foundational understanding of graphic design principles (typography, color theory, layout)
- Familiarity with Google's Material Design guidelines and/or a strong interest in digital product design
- Excellent visual communication and conceptualization skills
- Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on designs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively in a remote setting
- A portfolio demonstrating academic or personal design projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience with prototyping tools like Figma or Sketch
- Basic understanding of UX/UI principles
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira)
- Prior experience in a remote work environment
