Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mail Order Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team in Ogden, UT. This is a full-time, 100% indoor position in a fast-paced mail order pharmacy setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing and preparing prescription orders for shipment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in an environment where efficiency and accuracy are paramount. You will play a crucial role in providing seamless prescription services to our members, contributing directly to their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately interpret and process prescription orders in accordance with pharmacy regulations and company procedures.
- Perform data entry for patient and prescription information, ensuring all details are correct.
- Select, count, package, and label medications for dispensing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves and conducting cycle counts.
- Operate automated dispensing equipment and troubleshoot minor issues as needed.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to resolve prescription issues and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with pharmacy practices.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Pharmacy Technician license/registration in Utah (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
- Excellent data entry skills and proficiency with pharmacy software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a mail order or retail setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience with automated dispensing technologies.
