Job Description

Are you passionate about the water and thrive in an outdoor, dynamic environment? Pride Marine Group is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Marina Support Hand to join our team in the Vaughan area, assisting with operations in our coastal region facilities. This role is perfect for an ‘Outdoorsy’ individual who enjoys hands-on work, customer interaction, and contributing to a smooth-running marina. You will be instrumental in ensuring our marina facilities are well-maintained, safe, and provide an excellent experience for all our patrons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with docking and undocking of boats, providing guidance and support to boaters.
  • Perform general marina maintenance, including cleaning docks, common areas, and facilities.
  • Help with the movement and storage of boats, trailers, and marine equipment.
  • Conduct routine checks of marina infrastructure and report any issues or necessary repairs.
  • Support customers with various needs, including fuel service, supplies, and general inquiries.
  • Operate small utility vehicles and basic marina tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Participate in seasonal opening and closing procedures for the marina.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a marina, marine, or outdoor recreational setting.
  • Knowledge of boating safety and basic boat handling.
  • Valid G Class Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Forklift operation experience (asset).
