Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Medical Symptom Annotator to join our Diagnostic AI Training team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately labeling and categorizing medical symptoms, conditions, and related data to train and refine our cutting-edge diagnostic AI models. This position is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of medical terminology, an exceptional eye for detail, and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance healthcare outcomes. You will play a direct role in improving the precision and reliability of AI systems that will revolutionize medical diagnosis and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately annotate medical text, images, and other data sources with specific symptoms, conditions, and related medical entities.
- Apply consistent annotation guidelines and provide feedback to improve annotation protocols and tools.
- Collaborate closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and medical experts to understand project requirements and refine annotation tasks.
- Identify and categorize ambiguity or inconsistencies in medical data, proposing solutions for clarification.
- Participate in rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure high data annotation accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to all data privacy regulations, including HIPAA.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and best practices for medical data annotation workflows.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and human anatomy/physiology.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and annotation guidelines meticulously.
- Proficiency in using annotation tools and software platforms.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., Nursing, Medical Assisting, Health Information Technology, Biology, Public Health).
- Previous experience in medical data entry, medical coding, medical transcription, or clinical research.
- Familiarity with clinical documentation and electronic health records (EHRs).
- Experience with machine learning or AI data annotation projects, particularly in a healthcare context.
- Knowledge of common diagnostic procedures, disease classifications (e.g., ICD-10), and pharmaceutical terms.
