Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry Level Member Support Clerk to join our team in New Port Richey. This role is perfect for individuals eager to start a career in the financial services sector, specifically within a credit union environment. As a Member Support Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for our valued members, providing essential support, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive experience. You will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to outstanding member service and operational efficiency. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet members warmly, answer inquiries, and provide accurate information regarding credit union products and services.
- Process routine financial transactions efficiently and accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Assist members with account maintenance, opening new accounts, and resolving basic service issues.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services that meet members' needs.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of member information at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and enhance overall member satisfaction.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed to support branch operations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly
- A positive attitude and a passion for helping people
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role (retail, hospitality, etc.)
- Some college coursework in business or a related field
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
