Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and dedicated Microsoft Healthcare Data Clerk with a strong medical focus to join our remote team. This crucial role involves accurate and efficient management of healthcare data within Microsoft’s secure platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining data integrity, ensuring compliance with medical privacy regulations, and supporting various healthcare initiatives through precise data handling. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of medical records, patient information, and research data into Microsoft-based systems.
  • Verify and cross-reference data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and other relevant healthcare data privacy regulations.
  • Organize and maintain electronic health records (EHR) and other data sets, ensuring easy retrieval and secure storage.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and IT teams to resolve data-related issues and improve data quality.
  • Generate basic reports and summaries from collected data as required.
  • Assist in the migration and integration of data from various sources into centralized systems.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with healthcare data best practices and Microsoft technologies.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in data entry and data management principles.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and common healthcare procedures.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and other healthcare data privacy regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and experience with Microsoft cloud services (e.g., Azure, SharePoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology, Medical Office Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Certification in medical coding, medical transcription, or health information management (e.g., RHIT, CMT).
  • Prior experience working in a healthcare administrative or data management role.
