Job Description

Join Kaiser Permanente as a Mobile Clinic Driver, playing a crucial role in our healthcare outreach efforts in the Salinas area. This hybrid position involves driving our mobile clinic to various community locations to provide essential health services, alongside performing administrative and planning tasks remotely. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of medical personnel, equipment, and supplies, ensuring the mobile clinic is always ready for service. Your dedication will directly impact our ability to reach underserved populations and deliver critical care where it’s needed most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and maintain the mobile clinic vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs or issues promptly.
  • Ensure the mobile clinic is properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment before each outreach event.
  • Assist clinical staff with setting up and breaking down the clinic at various community locations.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Provide compassionate assistance to patients as needed, including help with boarding and alighting.
  • Collaborate with the outreach team to plan routes and schedules for maximum efficiency and reach.
  • Participate in remote administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and coordination as part of the WFH hybrid model.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience.
  • Ability to operate large vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move medical equipment up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or higher.
  • Experience in healthcare transport or mobile clinic operations.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) highly desirable.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Familiarity with the Salinas community and surrounding areas.
