Job Description
Are you a highly energetic individual with a passion for video games and an eagle eye for detail? Keywords Studios in Layton, Utah is seeking enthusiastic Morning Shift Playtesters to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team. This is an exciting opportunity to get hands-on with unreleased games, identify bugs, and provide valuable feedback that shapes the future of gaming. Your shift will start early and conclude by 2 PM daily, ensuring you have your afternoons free! We’re looking for individuals who can maintain high focus and energy throughout the morning to deliver top-notch testing results.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed test plans and checklists to identify defects in game software.
- Accurately document, report, and track bugs using designated bug tracking software.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on gameplay, usability, and overall player experience.
- Collaborate effectively with QA leads and development teams to ensure game quality targets are met.
- Participate in daily team meetings to discuss progress and critical issues.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all game content and project details.
- Adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and testing methodologies.
- Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard within the allocated shift time.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A strong passion for video games across various genres and platforms.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and test plans accurately.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly self-motivated.
- High energy level and ability to maintain focus throughout the morning shift.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in game testing or quality assurance (even informal).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, DevTrack).
- Knowledge of different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Basic understanding of game development cycles and terminology.
