Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for a fun, part-time job where you can make new friends and earn some extra cash? Dave & Buster’s in the vibrant Short North Arts District of Columbus is looking for enthusiastic and friendly Arcade Hosts to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves games, enjoys interacting with people, and wants to work in an energetic environment, primarily on weekends. No prior experience is needed – we’ll teach you everything you need to know to succeed and make every guest’s visit a blast!
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude as they enter the arcade area.
- Assist guests with game operation, troubleshoot minor issues, and provide instructions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the arcade floor, including wiping down machines and picking up trash.
- Assist guests at the prize counter, explaining redemption options and distributing prizes accurately.
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide exceptional customer service, making their experience memorable.
- Help with basic game maintenance tasks, such as clearing jammed tickets or refreshing cards.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in high school or equivalent.
- Ability to work weekends and some evenings as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and a passion for creating fun experiences.
- Basic mathematical skills for prize redemption.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or guest-facing role (not required, but a plus).
- An interest in arcade games and the entertainment industry.
- A desire to learn and grow within a dynamic company.
