Job Description

Nelnet is seeking a dedicated Part-time QA Assistant to join our growing team in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a QA Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications and systems. You’ll work closely with our QA engineers and development teams to identify, document, and track bugs, contributing directly to a seamless user experience. No prior extensive QA experience is required; we’re looking for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases and scenarios to identify software defects.
- Document and report identified bugs and issues clearly and concisely using our tracking system.
- Collaborate with QA engineers and developers to understand project requirements and bug resolutions.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure that issues are resolved according to specifications.
- Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improving software quality and usability.
- Assist in maintaining test data and environments.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with common software applications.
- Ability to learn new software and tools quickly.
