Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Accurately process cash, credit, and debit card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash responsibly, including counting change and balancing the register at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and assist with general store cleanliness.
- Answer customer inquiries or direct them to the appropriate team member for assistance.
- Scan and bag merchandise, ensuring correct pricing and product identification.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to privacy (HIPAA) and age-restricted sales.
- Assist with stocking shelves and organizing products as needed.
- Promote Walgreens loyalty programs and encourage customer participation.
