Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Coordinator with a strong focus on warehouse and logistics operations to join our dynamic team in Long Beach, CA. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of pharmaceutical products within our distribution center, from receiving to dispatch. You will coordinate daily floor activities, manage inventory accuracy, optimize storage solutions, and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, directly contributing to our mission of getting vital healthcare products to those who need them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping of pharmaceutical products.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, and pharmaceutical handling guidelines (e.g., controlled substances, temperature-sensitive items).
  • Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Train and mentor new warehouse staff on operational procedures and safety protocols.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare detailed reports on warehouse performance metrics, including productivity, inventory turns, and order fulfillment rates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems to management as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven ability to coordinate daily operations and manage inventory.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
  • Proficiency in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical product handling and regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, DEA).
  • Certification in forklift operation or other material handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.
