Job Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Victorville, CA. This position offers flexible Part-Time and Full-Time shifts to accommodate various schedules, and we have an immediate vacancy ready to be filled. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy, ultimately contributing to the well-being of our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with prescription processing, including receiving, verifying, and dispensing medications.
- Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Prepare and label medications for dispensing to patients.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and assisting with over-the-counter product selection.
- Process insurance claims and resolve any billing issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist in charge.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license or registration (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy software.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting.
- PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification.
- Knowledge of common pharmacy terms and procedures.
