Job Description

Are you passionate about creating tidy, engaging, and inspiring spaces for children? Bright Horizons is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Playroom Storage Organizer to join our team in Salford. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for meticulously organizing and maintaining our playrooms and learning environments, ensuring they are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, safe, and conducive to learning and development. You will play a crucial part in enhancing the experience for our children and supporting our educators by providing an optimal environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement effective storage solutions for toys, learning materials, and equipment in all playrooms and common areas.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, ensuring all items are in their designated places and readily accessible.
  • Regularly inventory playroom contents, identifying items for repair, replacement, or donation.
  • Collaborate with educators to understand their needs and adapt storage systems to support curriculum activities.
  • Develop and implement sustainable organizational practices that can be easily maintained by staff.
  • Ensure all health and safety guidelines are adhered to within the organized spaces.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of special events or themed activities, ensuring all necessary materials are organized.
  • Provide recommendations for new storage furniture or organizational tools to improve efficiency and aesthetics.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in organization, decluttering, or inventory management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Strong understanding of child-friendly environments and safety considerations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with team members.
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects, and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a childcare, educational, or retail setting.
  • Knowledge of early years foundation stage (EYFS) principles regarding learning environments.
  • Certification in professional organizing or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Montessori or Reggio Emilia classroom organization principles.
