Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Professional Google Lead to drive strategic initiatives and foster innovation within our corporate structure. This is a crucial leadership role, responsible for overseeing Google-related projects, optimizing our cloud infrastructure, and ensuring our teams leverage Google’s ecosystem to its full potential. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Workspace, and other Google technologies, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to impact our global operations from anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the strategy, design, and implementation of Google-centric solutions across the organization.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Workspace services.
- Oversee project lifecycles for Google technology deployments, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into effective Google-based solutions.
- Mentor and develop a team of Google technology specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Drive adoption of best practices for security, compliance, and governance within the Google ecosystem.
- Stay abreast of the latest Google product updates, features, and industry trends, integrating relevant advancements into our strategy.
- Manage vendor relationships with Google and related third-party providers.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a lead or senior architect with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Workspace.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and data management within GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and team-building abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant Google Cloud Certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer).
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and integration strategies.
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
