Job Description
Are you passionate about privacy and eager to start a career in data compliance? Google is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Remote Data Privacy Compliance Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience, as we provide comprehensive training from the ground up. You will play a crucial role in supporting our global privacy initiatives, helping to ensure that Google’s products and services adhere to the highest standards of data protection. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the documentation, review, and maintenance of privacy policies, procedures, and internal guidelines.
- Support the team in monitoring compliance with global data protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and others.
- Help manage and respond to data subject access requests (DSARs) in a timely and compliant manner.
- Participate in data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs) and provide administrative support.
- Collaborate with legal, product, and engineering teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles.
- Conduct research on emerging privacy laws and best practices to inform our compliance strategies.
- Assist in organizing and delivering internal privacy awareness training sessions.
- Maintain accurate records and logs related to privacy compliance activities.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in data privacy, law, or compliance.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in using common office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to learn complex information quickly and adapt to new challenges.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any field (e.g., Law, Business, Information Technology, Liberal Arts).
- Basic understanding of data protection principles or related legal frameworks.
- Experience with project management tools or databases.
- Prior experience in an administrative or support role, even if unrelated to privacy.
