Job Description
We are looking for an energetic and reliable Shopping Cart Retriever to join our team in Antioch. In this outdoor-focused role, you will be responsible for ensuring a consistent supply of shopping carts for our customers, maintaining a tidy parking lot, and providing a welcoming environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy being active and working outdoors, contributing directly to a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect shopping carts from designated areas across the parking lot and return them safely to the store entrance.
- Organize carts efficiently to prevent congestion and ensure easy access for customers.
- Monitor parking lot for debris and hazards, assisting with general cleanliness and safety.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers, including offering directions or help with loading groceries.
- Operate cart retrieval equipment safely and effectively (if applicable).
- Report any damaged carts or potential safety concerns to management promptly.
- Work consistently in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including walking, standing, pushing, and lifting for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment.
- Familiarity with store layout and operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
