Job Description
Join UPS as a Sit-down Forklift Specialist and play a crucial role in our logistics operations in Schaumburg, IL. We are looking for a dedicated individual to manage materials efficiently, ensuring smooth inventory flow and accurate order fulfillment. This position offers a stable Monday to Friday schedule, providing a consistent work-life balance. You will be responsible for operating sit-down forklifts to load, unload, stack, and move products within our warehouse facility, maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload freight trucks, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counting.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to achieve operational goals.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts.
- Forklift certification (OSHA-compliant).
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
