Job Description
Arizona State University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Student Lab Support team member to assist with the daily operations of our research laboratories in Scottsdale. This flexible, part-time position is ideal for students looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a scientific research setting while balancing their academic commitments. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a functional and safe lab environment, supporting researchers, and ensuring the smooth progress of experiments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and clean laboratory equipment and glassware.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and tracking usage.
- Maintain general lab cleanliness and organization.
- Prepare basic reagents and solutions under supervision.
- Dispose of chemical and biological waste according to safety protocols.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting.
- Support researchers with data entry and administrative tasks as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety guidelines and procedures.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited institution.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and meticulously.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
