Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle with a tanker trailer, transporting liquid bulk commodities.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting all findings.
- Manage loading and unloading operations, ensuring proper handling and security of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of hours of service, mileage, and cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of loads.
- Represent Schneider National professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A CDL
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (X endorsement)
- Minimum 36 months of verifiable Class A driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with various liquid bulk commodities (e.g., chemicals, food-grade, petroleum).
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proven track record of safe driving practices.
