Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chemists in preparing and analyzing chemical samples using various laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Conduct routine experiments under supervision, meticulously recording observations and data.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks and records.
- Operate and troubleshoot analytical instruments, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Participate in the development and optimization of new chemical processes and analytical methods.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and quality control standards in the laboratory.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
- Learn and implement Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Strong understanding of fundamental chemical principles and laboratory techniques.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated commitment to laboratory safety and ethical scientific practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience (academic or internship) with analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, Mass Spectrometry).
- Experience with statistical software or data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with agricultural science or biotechnology concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and techniques quickly.
