Job Description
Are you passionate about home entertainment and technology? Do you have a knack for setting up complex audio-visual systems and ensuring everything works perfectly? Best Buy Canada is seeking a dedicated TV & Audio Setup Tasker to join our team in Edmonton. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional in-home installation services for televisions, sound systems, and smart home devices, providing our customers with a seamless and enjoyable entertainment experience. You’ll ensure all components are correctly installed, configured, and integrated, while also educating customers on how to use their new systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and set up various home entertainment products, including televisions, soundbars, home theater systems, and smart home devices.
- Perform on-site consultations to assess customer needs and provide expert recommendations.
- Connect and configure all necessary cables, peripherals, and network settings.
- Calibrate audio and video settings for optimal performance and user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues during or after installation.
- Educate customers on the features and functionality of their new systems, providing clear and concise instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and equipment installed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards during installations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring complete satisfaction with every setup.
Required Skills
- Proven technical aptitude and understanding of audio/video components and connectivity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment (e.g., large TVs) and work in various home environments.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, based on customer appointments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in home electronics installation, IT support, or a related field.
- Knowledge of smart home technologies and networking principles.
- Certifications in consumer electronics or AV installation.
- Familiarity with various TV and audio brands and operating systems.
