Job Description
Join the UPS team as a Part-time Package Handler in Overland Park! This is an essential role where you’ll be responsible for moving packages and parcels within our fast-paced hub. You’ll contribute to the seamless flow of goods, ensuring packages are sorted, loaded, and unloaded efficiently for timely delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from trucks, trailers, and conveyor systems.
- Sort packages manually or with automated equipment, identifying and directing them to correct destinations.
- Scan packages and input information using handheld devices.
- Lift, push, pull, carry, and place packages, weighing up to 70 lbs, repeatedly and without assistance.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs independently.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or general labor role (not required, but a plus).
