Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Waste Management Driver to join our team in Warwick, Rhode Island. This vital role involves operating specialized vehicles to collect and transport waste materials as part of our public sector contracts. You will be instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness and environmental health of our communities. Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Collect and transport waste materials from residential, commercial, or public sector locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving and waste management regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, collections, and vehicle maintenance issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and the public.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of waste materials as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement.
- Clean driving record.
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and climbing.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating refuse trucks or similar heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of Warwick and surrounding Rhode Island areas.
- High school diploma or GED.
- HAZMAT endorsement.
