Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Remote Patient Appointment Scheduler to join our dynamic Healthcare Call Center team. This is a crucial role responsible for managing patient appointments, providing information, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for individuals seeking medical care. You will play a vital role in connecting patients with the appropriate healthcare professionals and services, all from the comfort of your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments accurately and efficiently using our internal systems.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries from patients regarding appointments, services, and general information.
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information, ensuring data accuracy.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding their appointments and necessary preparations.
- Handle patient concerns and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and a focus on resolution.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to coordinate patient care and scheduling needs.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all healthcare privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Document all patient interactions and scheduling activities accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and learning new software quickly.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a patient-centric approach.
- High level of empathy and professionalism.
