Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Travel to assigned CVS Pharmacy locations to provide temporary support, ensuring seamless operations during staffing fluctuations.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process prescription orders, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
- Utilize pharmacy systems and technology to input data, verify insurance information, and resolve billing issues.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and company policies.
- Support vaccination efforts and other clinical services as needed, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Train and mentor new or less experienced pharmacy staff members at various locations.
Required Skills
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA.
- Current state-issued Pharmacy Technician license or registration in Florida.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new environments and work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for travel assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CVS Health pharmacy systems (e.g., RxConnect).
- Previous experience in a floating or traveling pharmacy technician role.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) to better serve a diverse patient population.
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
