Job Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Audio Editor to join our dynamic Digital News & Content team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing, mixing, and mastering audio for a variety of digital content formats, including podcasts, video voiceovers, and online news segments. This position offers flexible hours, allowing you to manage your work schedule effectively while contributing to high-quality, engaging audio experiences for our global audience. You will work closely with content creators, producers, and designers to ensure audio assets align with brand guidelines and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit, mix, and master audio content for podcasts, video voiceovers, interviews, and other digital news productions.
- Perform audio clean-up, noise reduction, equalization, and compression to achieve optimal sound quality.
- Synchronize audio with video footage and other media elements.
- Implement sound effects, music, and voiceovers to enhance storytelling and engagement.
- Manage and organize audio assets, ensuring proper labeling and archival.
- Collaborate with producers, writers, and content strategists to understand project requirements and creative vision.
- Ensure all audio content adheres to brand standards, technical specifications, and accessibility guidelines.
- Provide constructive feedback and suggest improvements for audio production workflows.
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices in audio editing and digital media.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with professional audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Audacity).
- Strong understanding of audio principles, including mixing, mastering, equalization, and noise reduction.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with flexible deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen ear for sound quality.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with digital media content, including podcasts and video productions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sound Engineering, Music Production, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Experience with audio post-production for journalistic or corporate content.
- Familiarity with various audio codecs and delivery formats.
- Knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) for basic audio-video synchronization.
