Job Description

Join the team at Loblaws in Charlottetown! We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our dynamic retail team. This role offers an hourly compensation of 50-65 CAD, with the exact rate determined by your level of experience and proven capabilities. As a vital part of our store operations, you will contribute to delivering an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while supporting various aspects of daily store functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service, assisting shoppers with inquiries, product location, and general needs.
  • Accurately process customer transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems, handling cash, debit, and credit card payments.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including stocking shelves, rotating products, and ensuring product displays are appealing.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming merchandise.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both customers and colleagues.
  • Support team members and management with various operational tasks as required to ensure smooth daily store functioning.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail or customer service environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
  • High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry merchandise up to 25 kg (50 lbs).
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in retail, customer service, or a similar operational role.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
  • A genuine passion for providing excellent customer experiences and contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
