Job Description

As a Fitness Class Marshall at GoodLife Fitness, you will be the dynamic force behind an exceptional group fitness experience. This vital role focuses on ensuring classes run smoothly, safely, and with maximum energy. You will be responsible for the technical setup and operation of sound systems, lighting, and other equipment, as well as actively engaging with members to foster a high-energy and positive atmosphere. Your keen eye for detail, proactive approach, and passion for fitness will contribute significantly to member satisfaction and the overall success of our group fitness programs. This is an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting up and testing sound systems, microphones, and other audio-visual equipment prior to classes.
  • Ensuring proper lighting and environmental settings are optimized for each class type.
  • Greeting members warmly and assisting them with equipment setup or class inquiries.
  • Monitoring class flow, ensuring a positive and safe environment for all participants.
  • Troubleshooting minor technical issues with sound or equipment during classes.
  • Assisting instructors with class preparation and post-class breakdown.
  • Actively circulating the class area to encourage participation and maintain energy levels.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the studio and equipment.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing member needs or concerns.

Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fitness or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with various group fitness class formats.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Background in AV setup or event support.
