Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shopify Expert Consultant to join our dynamic, remote team. This is a pivotal role for an individual passionate about e-commerce, with deep expertise in the Shopify ecosystem. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance, strategic recommendations, and hands-on development solutions to our diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring their Shopify stores are optimized for performance, scalability, and user experience. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, strong client communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As a remote consultant, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while collaborating closely with a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation and strategic advice on Shopify best practices, platform capabilities, and growth opportunities.
- Conduct technical audits and performance optimizations for existing Shopify stores.
- Design and implement custom Shopify themes and functionalities using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Integrate third-party applications and APIs to enhance store features and automate processes.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand their business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Shopify themes, apps, and integrations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates, features, and e-commerce trends.
- Document technical solutions and provide training to clients or internal teams as needed.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Shopify development and consulting.
- Deep expertise in Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/Sass), and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with Shopify API (REST and GraphQL) and app integration.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, UX/UI principles, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and technical documentation.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote environment.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Preferred Qualifications
- Shopify Partner or Shopify Plus Partner certification.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) for storefront development (e.g., Hydrogen/Headless Shopify).
- Familiarity with various e-commerce platforms beyond Shopify.
- Project management experience with agile methodologies.
- Experience with marketing automation tools and analytics platforms.
