Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and efficient Warehouse Pickers to join our team for weekend AM shifts. This is a critical role that ensures our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Warehouse Picker, you will be responsible for meticulously picking food and supply products from various locations within our large, state-of-the-art distribution center. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong attention to detail, and is committed to upholding safety standards. This on-site role offers a top hourly rate for reliable individuals ready to contribute to our successful weekend operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations using pick sheets or RF scanners.
- Verify product quantities and ensure items match order specifications.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified and required for specific tasks).
- Prepare orders for shipment by stacking, wrapping, and labeling pallets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production and accuracy targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially for weekend shifts.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations or willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Forklift or power jack certification (an asset, but not required).
- Familiarity with food handling and safety protocols.
