Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Industrial Packer to join our team in Geelong. This full-time role offers a stable Monday to Friday schedule and a top hourly rate for motivated individuals. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently packing a variety of goods for dispatch, ensuring all items meet quality and safety standards before leaving our facility. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pack and label items according to specific client and internal guidelines.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trolleys safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine quality checks on packed goods to ensure product integrity and correct quantities.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Strictly follow all company safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Manually load and unload materials from conveyors, pallets, or trucks, ensuring proper handling.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily packing targets and operational goals.
Required Skills
- Proven strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Physical stamina and capability to lift and move packages up to 20kg regularly.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous roles.
- A proactive and positive team-player attitude.
- Basic understanding of general warehouse operations and safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a packing, warehousing, or manufacturing environment.
- Current Forklift (LF) license is highly regarded but not essential.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or scanning equipment.
- Experience with various packing materials and techniques.
