Job Description

Target in Oxnard, CA is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Cashier & Front End Associates. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle various payment methods including cash, credit/debit cards, and gift cards.
- Provide exceptional guest service by answering questions, resolving issues, and assisting with product inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and assist with general front end duties.
- Assist guests with self-checkout terminals and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with fellow team members and leaders.
- Adhere to all safety and security procedures.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation)

- Basic math skills for handling transactions
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., volunteer work, school activities, informal roles)
- Familiarity with POS systems (we will train you!)
